11 Simple Home Remedies for Malaria

Malaria is one of the deadliest diseases in the world. The disease is caused by the bite of the female Anopheles mosquito. When the Anopheles mosquito is infected with the malaria parasite, Plasmodium, it spreads the disease by biting other people.

There are also many home remedies for malaria disease, some of the main home remedies are as follows:-

1. Cinnamon

Fever, headache, and diarrhea are the most important symptoms of malaria. Cinnamon reduces the pain and other symptoms present in malaria and can be of great help in treating the symptoms of malaria. It contains cinnamaldehyde which helps prevent irritation. To make the cinnamon decoction, add cinnamon and ground black pepper to boiling water. You can also add honey to make it tastier. Consume this decoction thrice a day.

2. Fenugreek seeds

Soak fenugreek seeds in water at night and consume them twice a day and drink the water. It provides rapid recovery from malaria by boosting the body’s immunity and inhibiting malaria parasites.

3. Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits such as Amla, Lime, Orange, Candy, etc. are immunity boosters of the human body. These fruits are rich in Vitamin C which helps in controlling fever, preventing the spread of infection. Lemonade, orange, and candy lime are good choices. Eat fruits according to your condition or consume it in the form of juice.

4. Turmeric

Turmeric has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties that help in flushing out dangerous toxins from the body that are caused by the malaria parasite Plasmodium infection. Turmeric helps kill the malaria parasite. Drinking a glass of turmeric milk every evening is very beneficial in malaria disease.

5. Ginger

Ginger is antibacterial in nature. It is loaded with vitamins that can be used to fight the symptoms of malaria. Boil ginger in water and consume its decoction with raisins in the morning and evening. One can recently chew ginger root to combat indigestion and nausea.

6. Grapes

Raw grape nectar is similar in malaria disease, which can help in reducing the depth of malaria infection. The quinine-like element found in grapes helps in neutralizing the harmful effects of malaria parasites in the human body. Consuming grapefruit juice two to three times a day helps in fighting malaria disease and recovering quickly. If you take quinine medications, do not eat grapefruit as it can reduce the stomach’s ability to absorb this medicine.

7. Apple Cider Vinegar

Keeping a cloth dipped in a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water on the eyebrows for ten to 15 minutes helps in reducing malaria and fever during infection. Apple cider vinegar helps to relieve fever and reduce body temperature. Mixing one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and consuming it in the morning, afternoon, and evening helps in dealing with nausea and vomiting.

8. Basil

Basil is antibacterial and the eugenol found in it eliminates the infection. Tulsi is considered extremely useful in relieving the symptoms of malaria. By boiling its leaves in water, you can add basil leaves to your tea along with consuming the answer. Consuming Tulsi is very beneficial in malaria disease.

9. Fever Walnut

Fever nut helps in reducing body temperature. It is considered a strong herb for malaria therapy. Fever nut seeds can be consumed with water. The anti-malarial properties of fever nut help in dealing with symptoms like mild to moderately extreme chills, extreme fever, sweating, headache, vomiting, and diarrhea.

10. Sugarcane Juice

Apart from being a good source of vitality, sugarcane juice can also help protect against infections. Sugarcane juice is a great home remedy to fight against malaria due to its antioxidant and anti-malarial properties. Squeezing a lemon in a glass of sugarcane juice and drinking it twice a day is very beneficial in malaria disease.

11. Avoid Mosquitoes

Using mosquito nets and mosquito repellents is the first thing that helps to stop mosquitoes so that you do not fall prey to the dreaded disease of malaria. Do not allow water logging around your habitat so that mosquitoes cannot find a breeding ground.
